I was running into Meijer's to get a few groceries when I saw this. I quickly ran back to my car to grab my camera, oblivious to any curious onlookers nearby. I didn't care who was watching as I began snapping pics, hoping the owner of this teal beaut wasn't close by. Thought you and dad might enjoy some sweet memories of your trusty Escort.

Is that the car Kelle used to always write about on the email? The "staysh" or something like that? :)
I love it!! It's just missing the duct tape! ha!!!
Do I spy a detachable siren light on that lovely staysh??!! haaa!!!
I can remember finding that car, for a then empoverished and un-picky Kelle. Gary and I had located it and the price was great and as we were driving Kelle out to look at it, she mentioned, "Honest, I don't care what it looks like--just so it isn't a station wagon." OOOOOPS. She carried more crap around in that car than anyone I have ever known...several full wardrobe changes, enough makeup to handle the cast of Gladiator, enough dried up french fries and hamburger bun pieces to feed the refugees of Ethiopia--it was clear that the Staysh was the vehicle of need. It served her well. It owed us nothing. She was quite hard on cars then. And wasn't starting it a little unique--some after-factory button or switch or something. Yes, it brings back memories...bad ones.
lol.
and yes, emma, that is a detachable siren light...hahahahaha
Excuse me, Carin, but Escort is always capitalized...it is a sign of honor and respect. (Would you pull over if you saw a teal Excort careening down the highway with it's little Ronco red light flashing?"
