Wednesday, March 26th, 2008. evidence. clear documentation of little girl socks that never made it to the hamper. socks were discovered under the beds. beside the couch. in the polly pocket box. just to name a few...

Lol on the other things that joined them....are those scissors from your scissor cup? Say it isn't so!!! I swear, for the first five months of Lainey's life, I never ever lost a single sock of hers. I couldn't believe it when I finished putting away a load of laundry and there wasn't one leftover sock...like balancing a checkbook down to a penny... and those are some tiny socks to keep track of! But then five months hit, and now there is a large Ziplock full of tiny mis-matched in all colors.
You have hit on one Brent's biggest pet peeves. White socks laying around. Somehow, tho, since we've been in the new house, it hasn't been as big of a problem. Not sure why.
hm, whats a polly pocket box...is it OCD that I have to match my socks by how clean the bottoms are?
I've known David 8 years and he has NEVER lost a sock! It drives me crazy! I try hiding them and he goes crazy until he finds it!! I have a whole bag labeled "homeless" for my poor girls who get lost in the transition from washer-dryer-drawer!! We need to have a nanny cam on those dam sneaks!!
Hahaha, "in the Polly Pocket box," that is so funny!
I have always thought it good to save widowed socks. In the event someday you lose a leg, it seems it might be a comfort--even a tiny pocket of delight to realize: aha! I knew there was a reason to save those socks. In some strange way, I believe it will ease the crisis. But then...maybe not. And Carin, I was impressed you could find the Polly Pockets box--that's good!
I just found your blog via 'brown eyed fox'...isn't she just too cute!!
I just wanted to comment about your coffee habits...we were out of sugar today...my most perfect cup of coffee was not there today...I had to use Sweet & Low. Ack, I know! I'm all about my perfect cup of coffee in the morning...it's my vice! ; )
I love the socks...I have a basket full of them waiting to be sorted and put away...I so dislike socks!
Great post!
Amy~
