now the blog feels cluttered. messy. messy apartment. messy blog. I am frustrated. I think I want to be a graphic designer. and hire a maid.
sigh.

Props for the lighter background--easier to read for us "elders." I miss my Sommy banner, but love the new lettering/font on top. Maybe the three columns/center posts is a little competing. But you're getting into it--good for you!
What if the two outside columns were black, like the overall background, with white lettering? It would make your post column dominant and still carry the outside support information.
You and your dad.....so creative and a good pair. I'm sure you will come up with something grand. All your stuff always looks good even without a maid!
I really like the title section and how the outside color fades as it goes down. You could try to increase the width of your columns so you have more room.
If you need help with some of the HTML shoot me an email and I can ask Nathan (he's into that stuff).
I like the banter back and forth with your dad. It is cracking me up. My blog layout is very much the opposite - but truly reflects my personality - anyhoo - my SIL designed it. Check out my blog and then link to hers - tuttalastoria.blogspot.com . Good luck.
OK, if you don't get a new post up soon, I'm coming over there...you'll be put in your room and I will take over your blog...I will speak recklessly and post unbecoming, grainy and poor quality photos of you--I might even add elevator music and a cheesy new banner. Oh, and I'll be takin' off the word identification. So...get on it girl! Perhaps a Father's Day post extoling the virtues of your father...I can provide some talking points in case you shared a box of wine with your Flushing friends...just kidding of course.
Carin, I'm a bit late on commenting, but I haven't checked blogs in a while. Sorry that you're hurting!! It's good to cry and scream and get it all out. That's how you will heal. It will take time, but it will come. Sometimes when I'm at my lowest points, that's when I really feel God in my life. Without Him, I wouldn't be able to get out of bed or go to work everyday. Without Him, I wouldn't have the strength to smile or enjoy life. You are an amazing being and loved by so many people. Don't ever forget that. Thinking of you. Laura

ugh...don't you hate that!!!
it's like creativity must evolve and move forward. although everyone is used to and loves the old way...something inside can't help but change!
you're just movin' your furniture around!! you'll get it and it will be great!!
