beach day

This is what we did today. We went to the beach. The girls actually let me read while they collected clams and gave them names like "Ferguson". We ate tuna sandwiches. It was quite wonderful, I must say. And then back to reality...a messy apartment with company coming in an hour.

Love those beach days... my Adam does the "name the shell" thing too. It is nice that they are at such a great age to play and Mommy can have some reading time. I love your book photo with the beach in the background. Heaven!! ~Jill :) Go check out my beach slideshow. It's fun. :)

i love that first picture...and the last one of somer playing in their room. i've figured it out...if i tape pictures of high school musical stars all over my room, the mess suddenly becomes...charming.
(laughing at word verification: weefu. as in "we...f.u." sorry. funny)

Your day looked relaxing.....Love the first picture, but it kinda looks like there is no way you could see your kids from where you were reading!!!!!!

Hope you had a great day!! I miss the beach sometimes!

What great pictures! I've yet been able to take a 'cool' picture with my new camera! I'll aspire to get just one good shot this weekend!

Love the feeling you portrayed...very relaxing...I love those days with my kids!

Love your daughter's room! Looks like my daughter's room as we speak...she has the same little boom box too...loves to listen to her 'princess' cd's! We've yet to learn about high school musical...I'm not ready yet!

Hope you're enjoying The Ten Year Nap. I noticed it in your side bar today and went back to the beach post and noticed you were reading it. I need to get a new book to read. Work's been busy and usually as a reward for fininshing a project I buy a book. It's kind of like having a trophy room. Sounds silly, I know, but sometimes you gotta what you gotta do to keep movin'.
