her first baby-sitting job is today.
we made up a little bag with bandaids, crayons, markers,
playdough, and snacks. she laid her clothes out last night.
said she "wants to look like the baby sitter
and not the babies being sat".
I'm so proud of her.
Good luck today, Savannah Joy.

Wow....I can't believe it's that time already! Babysitting? Your going to love this, her own money some how they appreciate it more when it's theirs! I bet she did a great job! You know what this means don't you.....your getting older! No more babies around a 5 year old in the house and a babysitter!!!!
Oh, I love it all...how sweet that she laid her clothes out and wants to be so grown up.
(isn't it funny how we can tell the importance of an event to our child, simply by the extent to which they lay their clothes out?)
What a good Mommy, helping her prepare her Babysitting goodies. :)
I know you will be thinking of her the entire time...SO MUCH!!
I know she will be great!!
I can NOT believe she is old enough to babysit!! I remember talking to you about her first day of kindergarden...that was only last year wasn't it?? The days and years just fly by! I sure wish you guys still lived out this way, we need a babysitter bad!
Be sure to tell us how she does!
That is so cute..... I love what she said! I love her little entrepreneurial spirit!
I'm sure she'll do great today.
:-)
you captured something in her expression in that photo. It is truly candid. I almost didn't need to read the words to get the idea that Savannah is embarking on a big day. Really nice photo
She's a natural with babies! She was SO great with Jonah, he just loved her! This will be the first of many a baby sitting jobs. :)
Good Luck Savanna Joy, Have fun!
Savannah will be such a good babysitter! I love the pic too :)
how sweet is that. She laid out her clothes and had activities for the kids. her first bs job....VERY exciting!
She will do BRILLIANTLY!!! I know it:)
This was so sweet. I love that she had things to pack for them. I am dying to know how it went!
wish we lived near... my girls would go nuts over her!
For my first babysitting job I packed up some essentials as well...valium, ropes, earplugs, razor blades. Actually, incredibly proud of her...put books on her head, she is growing too fast. In mourning here, since Sophia Petrillo died today..."Picture this...Sicily...1948..."
