I was on my way home from the airport when, what to my wondering eyes should appear, but a sign, in the distance... and then, another... and so, I stopped. I ate. I browsed. I dreamed. and it was bliss.
I am sooo jealous! No IKEA around Alabama...no not anywhere. I visited one in Edmondton, Alberta once before and I can remember how I was in awe at their stuff. Lucky you! ~Connie
Don't you love it there! I've only been twice since ours opened. A sweet friend gave me a gift certificate for Ikea like a YEAR ago and I need to get down there!!
I got some of their basic mirrors and hung them out of line and painted on them-everyone thinks they are wierd, I'm thinking you might "get it".
oh, just dying to go there now. that really is like heaven...the only thing toppin' that would be if on all their couches, there was....a baby. real live that you could take home. then it'd be heaven. ...and what's this you speak of? tin can marguerita? sounds like something i want.
Shame on me! I just got back from CA and my husband kept suggesting we hit IKEA while we were there. No, no. We were just too busy I thought. And besides what would we really NEED from IKEA??? OMGOSH! The lighting dept. looks fabulous!!!!!!
oh i wish i was you! i finally got to go to ikea this weekend....after a year! but my husband insisted on going with me. and he is a great great guy but no fun to shop with. i couldn't even pick something up without him saying "what do you need that for?" i felt totally smothered. we got all wood hangers for our closet so that was a whole cart full but i got nothing fun at all. i felt like i might as well have not gone. i am so jealous of your trip! it sounded like exactly what i was hoping for. you are lucky!
OK, the IKEA post is getting stale, and those eggs aren't gettin' any fresher either...settle down from that move, pick up that camera and get a post together...you created your groupies, now, we're gettin' hungry for some fresh and tender bloggings.

We had an IKEA open in Atlanta a couple of years ago and I haven't been yet.... in large part because I know I'll want to buy EVERYTHING.
I had no idea they served food.

I've been eyeing up those paper-like sculpture hangings lights for a while now. Just need to figure out where to put them.
