a good enough mom.
I am not perfect.
but, I am good enough.
I yell.
but, I am good enough.
I say "just a minute" too many times.
but, I am good enough.
I forget to buy milk. and toilet paper.
but, I am good enough.
because in between all the imperfections,
in between the tears I sometimes I hide as I leave for work,
I do my best.
I say I'm sorry.
I make good use of the time I do have.
and there are days like today, when I hit a homerun.
and I realize
yes, I am good enough.

Oh, I love this post. The tears you hide as you leave for work...those were mine leaving Parker as an infant. Love you, you wonderfully-good-enough-to-be-a-great-mom!

WOW. Heck, I don't even KNOW you (other than your blog) and I can tell what an AWESOME mom you are. Your love and adoration for your kids is so obvious.

You're WAY better than "good enough", girl! :-)

I love these photos! I'm reminded of all the lazy afternoons we spent every summer running through sprinklers. Wow... it didn't really take much to make us happy back then. The mom that knows that IS a good mom...

Cedar Point has nothing on your day. You made Six Flags over Lansing! Kudos to you...yes, you're good enough. Never doubt it. Never. You made memories today--strong ones that will last forever and be repeated when your girls are moms.

good enough... funny- that is sometimes how i think, too, but sometimes with a question mark. i suppose we all have our days- gold star days, and big red "x" mark days... and in the end, good enough is pretty great!
