Our afternoon began with the sprinklers at Lake Lansing,
followed by a ride on a paddle boat. Afterwards, we moseyed
around the park a bit and finally headed back to the car. The
girls got all buckled up and I said, "Why are you guys all buckled?"
No one wants sno-cones?" I flung each of them a dollar bill and
they ran giddily toward the concession stand. Oh, I forgot to
mention that while we were out on the paddle boat, there was
another paddle boat nearby carrying a few fairly decent
looking young men. Somer, who had the sillies all day, yells, out of
no where, "Mom, stop tooting!" and then Sydney
joined in and it was just awful because they said it in such a way
that sounded like I really was tooting, but I wasn't and soon the
fellow boaters were laughing and I was mortified.

i LOVE these photos! you captured the spirit of the day so perfectly! your girls are just gorgeous!

(and - be thankful that they used the word "toot" - my children take ANY excuse to use the word FART in public because they know how much it embarrasses me!)

I love all these pictures......the water spraying, the colors, facial expressions, big sunglasses, and smiles. I love that you tooted and your kids told! I love that you continue to check yourself to make sure you are good enough! Mom,wife, and friend you are more then good enough!

Everyone should unbuckle and enjoy a snowcone. Yes, everyone. But not everyone should toot...or tell on those who do.

I'm laughing that silent "g-g-g-g-" laugh that you have to do when it's only 11pm and you should be asleep but instead you're gobbling up blogs....

I so love the misunderstood toot story and the comments along the way.

I love that Joann calls it 'fluffing', and with her it probably sounds just like that.

For some twisted reason, when anyone does that in our house, they deadpan,
"Somebody tooted...
and I think it was me."

You should have just done what I do and yell back, "You have a booger!" Helps if you point.
