just returned from my run....
sometimes I don't like to talk about faith on my blog.
because I really dislike religion and churchy-ness.
I'm afraid of coming home after work, reading this and getting
frustrated for getting all sappy and assuming people want to
read about it.
nevertheless....
I rounded the corner into my neighborhood and put this song
on the ipod.
anyway...it was just one of those moments. the air was chilly,
the morning sun on my face, and new fallen leaves under my feet.
not a sound, except for the violins crescendoing into the full choir.
"...each restless heart beats so imperfectly...but when you come
and I am filled with wonder sometimes I think I glimpse eternity...
you raise me up to more than I can be."
He met me on my run today. I was so filled with wonder as I
saw Him everywhere I looked...
here's to being more than I can be today.
the absolute best version of myself.
fully present.
fully thankful.
fully loving.

i know what you mean...
Thanks for sharing this morning...what a sweet feeling. Those are the best!
So, so awesome Carin! I love being overtaken by those feelings too.
How far are you running?
mmmm, that was beauty I needed to read.
Okay, I am putting down everything and going out to walk right now.
Never sappy, not you.
Just....real.
functional faith. real religion. good god. you tapped a live wire today. these moments do something to us...deep within...lasting forever. i love you.
you are an enlightened beautiful soul and im grateful to have you in my life!
I felt like I was right there with you.
What a beautiful story.
Thank you.
xoxo
tears. i have those moments and they are so entirely real.
Love those moments.
Love the song.
Love You!
so true. beautiful. thanks for reminding us of what we can find in the simplest of things...like a morning run.
You had me 'newly fallen leaves under my feet.'
love you:)
I don't think that's sappy at all. That's beautiful.
I love moments like that... where the grace just overflows and you feel so thankful. Words don't really describe it.
True communion.
And that is the premiere recording of that song...Secret Garden...it rocks out the lyrics soulfully...and that choir that joins in at the end is just a slice of heaven on rye!
i just love that He meets us... right where we are... and shows us His love in the most amazing, and sometimes most simple ways! the beauty of the earth always humbles me- so glad that you took the leap to share!
what a moment...
the best...
when it all somes together just so... HE is so good!
