Look to the water lily, its blossom happily rides upon even troubled water. You can. You will. Happy is best. Maybe you just need my word verification:

I read a great book recently about dealing with anxiety (I can't remember the name of it, but it was written by Charles Stanley). It talked about this very thing.... and how the peaceful heart is like the ocean.... there may be a fierce tempest on the surface of the ocean but down deep, beneath the turmoil, it is still, and calm.

I am glad that you have found that peace within. It will see you through this "season" in your life. (And remember, it is just that.... a "season"... and just temporary.)

Thanks friend.

I so needed this today.

Feel like I wonder some days why God doesn't just come down and rescue everybody and make the world perfect and everyone safe, no cancer, no sadness etc. But he gives us what we need....PEACE.

Going to spend the next several days remembering His Peace.

see you soon...;0) Bring me some winking owl will ya!?

oh...and I sang this song at my concert....I had to make the auxillary percussion guy ring the jingle bells louder..which makes me think about MORE COWBELL PLEASE!

When we walk to the edge of all the light we have,

And take that step into the darkness of the unknown,

We must believe that one of two things will happen:

There will be something solid for us to stand on,

Or we will be taught to fly.

Blessed are those
whose dreams are shaped
by their hope...

...not their hurts.

mmm, I needed to read this today too cjs...thanks for reminding us that peace is always possible. Sometimes it surprises us in the midst of the storm, sometimes it is just a pervasive presence. I like how Jesus said that it is a 'gift I give you' - nothing we can manufacture, but something that we can receive. Thanks for reminding me that it is there for the taking.
