butterflies

Photobucket

"It is necessary to write, if the days are not to slip emptily by. How else, indeed, to clap the net over the butterfly of the moment? for the moment passes, it is forgotten; the mood is gone; life itself is gone..."

Oh, it was a good day. Positively...grand. How can it not be, when your dad meets you in his driveway with a martini before you're even out of your car? how can it not be, when you're singing and dancing to con te partiro on a sunday afternoon in his living room? how can it not be, with precious daughters by your side? how can it not be, enjoying it with a fabulous friend named barb and her son jake? how can it not be, biting into a max and erma's chocolate chip cookie fresh from the oven?

grand, indeed.

And it was a grand joy to have your girls come home...and introduce you to the exquisite friends they have met along the journey--to be with them when you cannot. And, like a sweet puppy woeful eyes ask "Can I keep her?" I say a resounding yes to Barb. Nothing edgy about her except for her heart...the edges of which touch you before she enters the room. Have a fab week, CJ!

You deserve a good life.

Not just one day.

Cheers to martinis in driveways and for finding that good life.

Love you...miss you...

oh. one more thing. that girl singing that song used a pitch corrector compressor in the recording (last note) at the end. not really her voice. not to burst your bubble. listen for the "wave" of sound and you'll hear it correcting the pitch....

just sayin'....I've done my research, you know.
