oh, I am pumped.
I joined a running group.
today was the kickoff run.
thus, the 2009 season has officially begun.
after my winter hiatus, I surprisingly managed to finish without stopping.
of course, running alongside mike and lana didn't hurt.
not to mention, the 20 others or so in the group.
it was fun. a lot of fun.
especially going to breakfast afterwards.
and meeting new people.
like mike. and pete. and holly.
oh, I am pumped.

That is awesome! You'll have to stop by my blog and read my post about how my daughter came home and ANNOUNCED that she's "in training" for a 10K. (She hasn't run even 10 yards in her whole life!) It's a funny post. But to be honest, she has inspired me. I think I'm going to dust off my running shoes and start jogging with her myself. :)

Are you doing the Komen Race for the Cure in Lansing this year? (April) You should, it's the COOLEST -- they close down all these streets in downtown Lansing, and there are bands playing, stuff for the kids to do, and best of all - free stuff!!! Free food, etc for the runners. Sign up at Playmakers.
Call me if you want to do this but need somebody to watch your kids while you run it (I could just watch them while you run). There are even kids' runs where they get medals, etc.
