| Good bye, Sat. |
So, The Sat refused to quit squealing. Such behavior makes it difficult to drop kids off at school or smile at an attractive male in the car beside me. Attempts were made to squeeze out yet another life, but it wasn't to be - not without a decent amount of money. It was time. I now have a car loan - my first in 36 years. Special thanks to the seller,
Kelly Holden, a fellow single mom who was lovely. Our meeting was almost mystical, if I allowed myself to believe in such things. Honorable mention goes to my driver and friend, Barb, who brought me coconut water for the drive because, "betch, you're so dehydrated."

I have a research question - did you at all feel just a little bad for the Sat? I remember when I finally gave up on my old Kia (it had broken down too many times to count), and even though my Kia had been horrible and untrustworthy to me, and had cost me lots of $$ in repairs, for some reason I was sad for it when I got a new car. Jon was like "it's a car, not a person" haha, but I wonder if other people feel like I did. Anyways, awesome job on the new ride!!!

Yeah!!! So so excited for you!!! I've actually been thinking about you and the Sat a lot lately because it's getting so cold....I was like "what is Car going to do in the winter with a window that is stuck kinda open?!" whew...now I can relax ;)
P.s. maybe just a little too invested in the blog....
Awesome!!! congrats. There's little like a car that WORKS after driving one for a long time that doesn't.
I remember driving along just soaking in the cool air blowing from the vents...chatting on and on about how great it was that the radio that turned on *right* when I pushed the button!...and what a smooth ride compared to the "driving a tin can" feel of my old car....Bliss, I tell you. Bliss.
