I wear my grandma's ring.
I wonder where she was or what she felt when he put it on her finger. I wonder if as a young newlywed, she held out her hand and stared at it, excited to be his wife. I wonder if in rough times, she twisted it, recalling their vows and commitment. They celebrated 70 years. We're about to celebrate 13...and counting.
