slacking.

I am officially,

a slacker.

good day today.  returned last night from trip to naples, florida.  I'm convinced one of the best things about going away is coming home.

plane arrived around 6:30 last night.  had to stop at ikea on the way home.  it was on the way, the swedish meatball meal was on special for $2.49, and I needed a light for above my table.

pulled into apartment complex around 10, hung lamp, and climbed into bed.

awoke to crisp breeze.  starbucks in the french press.   happy for the resume of routine.

work was good.  girls went to Joel's for three hours while I passed up yoga for an offer to meet friends at the tavern.  good move.  we laughed, waxed philosophical, and dreamed about the future.  big dreams.  like trekking through europe with nary a plan.

ran to grocery store with Somer to find pumpkins and mums have now replaced watermelon and corn on the cob.  I like.  Picked up white albacore tuna, pringles, baby carrots and cookies for lunch tomorrow, saving ten percent as shopping on Wednesdays means 10% off with a student id.  Deli was closed, hence the tuna.

just prayed with girls.  actually cheered them tonight as tomorrow is a special day.  my oldest turns thirteen.  "here comes her herkie," sydney said, laughing.  I was rather pleased with it tonight.  For a home-schooled girl who knows nothing of cheerleading, it wasn't too shabby.

and now I am tired.

feeling thankful for a regular day.

and heading to bed.

g'nite.

With 3 girls, I hardly think that you could be a slacker!! Glad you made it home safely...there is certainly nothin' like home! Happy Birthday to your teenager, too! :) Work that herkie, and throw in a toe-touch, too.....awesome!

Have a nice week, CJS!

I didn't know you were homeschooling Sydney! How cool!

Routine is nice. Glad your back.

Happy Birthday to Savannah...mine turns 13 tomorrow. I will never forget us having our babies just one day a part, all the emails, all the calls.. how stinkin fun was that.

Miss you.

Here's to slacking! Cheers to slacking! Beers to slacking!

You had me with HOME...how quickly walls, a floor and a capping ceiling becomes HOME. It was wonderful to be together last weekend--no greater gift can a parent have than time carved with his children.

Happy Birthday Savannah JOY!

Loving the sodagirls tonight!
