long weekend haps.

I leave happy hour after work on Tuesday...
my weekend begins
first night of soccer practice
post sleepover...
"...hey, ask your mom if we can go through
the sprinkler."
happy sprinkler girls
first football game prep
the arrival of grandma krissy and george,
in town for my cousin's wedding the following day
animals love George
everyone loves George
my mama and my sophomore
wedding day...
confirming start time to make sure we have time
to fix my hair after she tells me I absolutely 

cannot go with bad roots. I tell her she 
absolutely cannot wear ugly glasses.
wedding time confirmation: 6pm
serious collaboration with Sally's staff
followed by serious deliberation.
clock says 3:40,
takes an hour to get to wedding.
do we have enough time?
do we know what we're doing?
of course we do
(clock now reads 4:15)
by an act of God, we arrive early
cousins
cousins and grandma mccormick who said,
"I feel like the queen of this place."
aunt karen and cousin 
my brother and I looking back at bride.
"I was at salvation army an hour ago buying my outfit," he says.

"two hours ago I had bleach on my hair," I reply.
pretty venue, tasty pellegrino
hydrangeas

no dance floor and no dj = table shenanigans...

little bodies everywhere.
and, while they sleep...
We sip strong coffee and wax philosophical
photographer extraordinaire who took most of
these pictures, many without my knowledge,
including this one.

Ahhh, how is Sav a sophomore?! I loved the picture of the girls getting ready for the football game - the first football game is always so exciting!!

which cousin got married? i was thinking one of Karen's kids because of the picture, was it Timothy? I thought the rest were married.
